AP000569.8

Long non-coding RNAs (linRNA) are a numerous class of non-protein coding transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides. lincRNA are transcribed by RNA polymerase III (RNAP III) and are alternatively spliced to give rise to different lincRNA isoforms or transcripts. This class of non-coding RNA is emerging as key regulator of diverse cellular processes and, recently, various molecular mechanisms and functions have been suggested for this class of non-codind RNA, including gene expression and epigenetic regulation.
